After 16 issues of my column “Web2.0″ I thought about a new title and finally decided on Emerging Challenges. (Mainly because ‘Emerging Technologies’ was already taken by Guus 
). It will widen the coverage of this column to include all items which challenge me and other librarians in both our daily and future life, such as the mobile library, electronic media, future of reading, and social media.
In this blog you will find the 16 issues of the Web 2.0 column from the Journal of the EAHIL from November 2006 to May 2010, including three guest entries from Guus van den Brekel, Patrice Chalon, and Frank Norman. The blog format will ensure for greater visibility and interactivity with authors and readers (comments, clickable links, polls, etc). It’s an experiment in Web 2.0 Social Media.
